What is the WTC Health Program?
The World Trade Center Health Program provides no-cost monitoring and treatment services to eligible members who responded to or worked around the 9/11 attacks. The FDNY Clinical Center of Excellence offers ongoing screening, treatment referrals, and medical follow-up.
Do I need to schedule an appointment?
Yes. If you are due for a monitoring exam, call 718-999-1858 to confirm or reschedule your appointment. If you have a time-sensitive health concern, call the same line for guidance.
Is there a cost to me?
Monitoring exams and evaluation are provided at no cost to eligible members. Some additional services may be referred through the program, depending on each individual need and coverage.
Can I still participate if I do not have symptoms?
Yes. The program is designed to monitor long-term health impacts, not only active symptoms. Routine monitoring helps detect changes early and supports ongoing care.
Is my information private?
Your individual medical results are shared with you and your care team. The program uses strict confidentiality procedures. Participation is voluntary and there is no penalty for not participating.
Where can I find more information?
See the Resources page or the official CDC WTC FAQs.
